My name is Patricia Durbin-Ruiz. I have been an accomplished dancer for the past 13 years in NYC and have been dancing since the age of four. Physical training and dance are fused together by their relationship to the human body, its well being and need for strength. This is what sparked my interest in the fitness industry. I have been working as a personal trainer since 1995. I have a BS in Dance and Pre-Physical therapy from Kansas State University. I am a certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as well as Pre/postnatal fitness through Healthy Moms®. I also hold certifications in Yoga, Pilates, and Resist-A-Ball.

I am unique in my training style because I incorporate weights, Yoga, Pilates, Physio-balls, bands and tubing to align and strengthen your body. I have first hand experience in pre/postnatal training as I am a new mother myself.
I have trained all ages and fitness levels, as well as dealt with injuries and physical limitations.

I believe I can meet your fitness needs.

Patricia is an amazing yoga/Pilates instructor. I am in a wheelchair and not able to do exercise the way everyone else does. Patricia has tailored my fitness routine to my capabilities but also still challenges me. I ha ve gained more mobility, balance and strength in one year with Patricia than I did with 5 years of physical therapy. My flexibility is better than I ever thought possible and I now have more bladder control as well. Not on ly is Patricia a great yoga/Pilates instructor, she is also an exceptionally kind, caring and compassionate person. She understands that you have to treat the whole person - body, mind and soul. She is a blessing and I rec ommend her highly.

Patricia has transformed my mind, body and spirit. I feel ten years younger with more flexibility and more energy.

I havent had the chance to tell you [Patricia] what a wonderful experience I had training with you, Pilates machines are a dream experience as you work every part of your body without pain. You have to focus on what you a re doing and I must say I never looked at the clock during our sessions. You have a very patient way of teaching and I would recommend your sessions highly.

When I first hired Patricia as my trainer, I had intended to sign up for just 10 sessions. After each session, I felt invigorated and better yet, in a few weeks, I noticed how much stronger I was feeling. Needless to say, 10 sessions turned into 20 and into 30... Patricia also customized my routine so I was able to exercise in my hotel room during many of business trips.
