Moving Strength/Healthy Moms offers Pre and Postnatal training, adapting Pilates, yoga and basic fitness principles to the specific needs of the expectant or new mom. The program develops stamina and strength for labor and delivery and restores muscle tone after the baby is born. We put strong emphasis on abdominals, pelvic floor and back musculature to ensure that the birthing experience is minimally taxing to the body. The Postnatal program progressively and safely returns you to, or takes you beyond, your pre-pregnancy fitness level and body tone. Moms are welcome to bring their babies to class. All programs adhere to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) guidelines.
